This Western Bluebird came as a result of not wanting to waste the ghost image of the trees in the background. The background was used as a first printing for the following image “Autumn.” Western Bluebirds live year round in coastal Southern California. They can be seen throughout much of Western U.S and much of Mexico and as far north as Canada.

Autumn is drawn from a Gingko tree which used to live in my neighborhood, its fall display always was a treasure.
Flower Kitty II

Expanding on the small black and white prints, Flower Kitty I was created. This is the second version of the plate, using the ghost image left from the first printing and drawing a new cat and other images on top of the ghost for the second printing.

Cherry Trees I

This monotype came about after a visit to the Kyoto Botanical Gardens one day in late March. when a beautiful grove of Cherry Trees were in full bloom, their petals falling to the ground like a gentle rain.
